TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Sensitive Information. We do not intentionally request sensitive information. The gated diagnostic design rejects known secret-bearing fields and redacts likely secrets before transmission, but an unexpected error message or stack may still contain incidental personal information. Production diagnostic intake remains disabled while that residual risk and the legal requirements are reviewed.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

QuickInstaller desktop diagnostic reports

Summary. Helps diagnose failures. Reports may include error details, technical context, and the affected app. Sensitive patterns are redacted.

Current status. Rich diagnostic intake and upload are disabled in production. AI service providers acting as processors may analyze sanitized reports for diagnosis and fix suggestions and may not use them to train or improve their models. The controller uses separate consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) for this optional purpose and has completed a combined DPIA. The feature remains disabled until actual recipients and processors, processing locations and transfer safeguards, operational controls, and the coordinated release evidence are verified.

Known hosting facts. The Admin service is located in Norway. The operator-confirmed primary MonsterASP.NET datacenter for AppApi, the public web service, and the database is in Germany. No other processing, proxy/CDN, security-log, support, backup, or provider location is established by that fact; the applicable MonsterASP.NET legal entity and processor terms, subprocessors, and any required transfer safeguards have not been verified.

If the feature is offered after those requirements are complete, it will start off and require a fresh, versioned, affirmative choice in the QuickInstaller installer or application. Any installer choice will be a separate unchecked control, will not appear during silent installation, and will be validated again by the application. Previous SendErrorReports values, accepting the EULA or Terms, continued use of the application, local logging, and usage-analytics consent do not provide that consent. An in-application offer will be deferred while its main window is hidden or minimized and offer it only after the window is restored and active. Declining does not reduce application functionality, and sharing can be turned off in Settings.

With consent, reports can cover client feature failures, terminal package or server responses, and exceptions originating in bundled dependencies. Expected cancellation, intermediate retries, diagnostic-reporting work, documented outcomes, and transport failures that Windows positively identifies as offline stay local.

An eligible report can contain the exception and bounded inner-exception chain with stack traces; QuickInstaller and Windows versions; the operation and package involved; and a short, bounded trail of structured diagnostic events. The envelope is allow-listed and size-bounded. Before transmission it removes or redacts credentials, tokens, cookies, authorization values, API keys, passwords, signed URL query values, recognized command-line and environment-dump patterns, and user-identifying path segments. Text from bundled dependencies and server responses is treated as untrusted. The envelope has no dedicated command-line, environment-dump, or file-content field, but unexpected diagnostic text can still contain incidental personal or confidential information. The diagnostic record does not store the request IP address in or alongside the report.

The purpose is to group, investigate, reproduce, and fix QuickInstaller client failures, including package-definition and bundled-dependency failures. Human and automated tools may analyze sanitized reports and suggest fixes and tests. This consent does not authorize an external provider to train or improve its models, and it grants no autonomous system authority to merge, release, deploy, or write to production.

If enabled, identifiable raw reports will be retained for no more than 90 days. Non-identifying fingerprints and occurrence counts will be retained for no more than two years. QuickInstaller will keep opaque report-specific deletion tokens locally and automatically retry deletion of still-identifiable reports after consent is withdrawn. Sanitized reports waiting for delivery are protected in the current user's local application data, retained for no more than 90 days, and retried in the background on a later startup. It will not expose a report-history screen.

Optional QuickInstaller desktop usage analytics

Summary. Sends at most one daily activity signal containing a random ID, QuickInstaller/Windows versions, architecture, and IP address.

Current status. Production usage-analytics intake and desktop delivery are disabled. The feature will remain disabled until the legal, privacy, DPIA, controller, processor, transfer, infrastructure, security-log, monitoring, validation, and deployment requirements are complete. The controller uses separate consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) for this optional purpose and has completed a combined DPIA; processor and transfer approval is not claimed by this notice.

If offered after those requirements are complete, the Settings control will start unchecked and require a fresh, versioned choice. It is independent of diagnostic sharing in every combination. Accepting the EULA or Terms, using the application, or enabling diagnostics will not enable analytics. Declining or withdrawing will not reduce application functionality.

Only after opt-in, the application will generate a cryptographically random, analytics-only identifier. It is not derived from hardware, Windows or account identity, IP address, diagnostics, or installed applications, and it rotates at the calendar-year boundary. At most one idempotent active event is counted for the identifier per UTC day.

The complete event fields are the random identifier, QuickInstaller product version and release channel, Windows major version, architecture classification, and an Active signal. The event does not contain app inventory or names, install/update operations, searches, paths, exceptions, diagnostic identifiers, account identity, or hardware-derived identity.

The AppApi service necessarily receives a network source address. For this optional flow, application code uses the active local IP2Location LITE DB3 dataset transiently to obtain a two-letter ISO country code and will pass only that country, or Unknown, into analytics storage. Raw IP will not be stored in analytics events, deletion queues, analytics logs, diagnostics, or analytics rate-limit partitions. No external geolocation API is called. Separately, operational request counting stores request addresses and locally derived country, region, and city data. Stored request addresses are removed when their last observation is more than 90 days old, beginning only after the first complete local dataset has been activated. Separate infrastructure security/access logs may necessarily observe IP and must be inventoried, access-limited, justified, and assigned a verified short retention before release.

This product includes IP2Location LITE data available from IP2Location.

The purpose is to estimate daily active installations, calendar-month active installations, and approximate country distribution. These counts describe consented installations, not people or accounts; one person can have several installations and an installation can be shared. Country and other dimension cells with fewer than five active installations are suppressed.

Pseudonymous activity events will be retained for no more than 90 days. Non-identifying aggregate counts will be retained for no more than two years. Withdrawing closes new sending immediately and durably requests deletion of raw events for the current identifier. The application removes its local deletion proof only after server acknowledgement.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.

We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

Desktop diagnostics. AI service providers acting as processors may analyze sanitized reports for diagnosis and fix suggestions and may not use them to train or improve their models. The known MonsterASP.NET hosting described above does not settle its applicable legal entity, processor terms, subprocessors, support or backup locations, any other processing location, or transfer safeguards. Rich production reporting will remain disabled until those facts and any future recipient are reviewed and identified here with the applicable processing and transfer terms.

Desktop usage analytics. No external geolocation recipient is used; country derivation uses the active local IP2Location LITE dataset. The hosting, support, backup, subprocessor, and transfer facts described above must still be verified and identified here before the remaining production gates can open.

  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • Affiliates. We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this privacy notice. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners, or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
  • Business Partners. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.

4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?

In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice.

5. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?

In Short:; If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.

Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Facebook or Google logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, friends list, and profile picture, as well as other information you choose to make public on such a social media platform.

We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.

6. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.

The Admin service is located in Norway. The operator-confirmed primary MonsterASP.NET datacenter for AppApi, the public web service, and the database is in Germany. Those facts do not establish any other processing or storage location, and the provider entity, processor terms, subprocessors, backup locations, proxy or support access, and any required transfer safeguards remain unverified. Rich desktop diagnostic reporting is disabled. AI service providers acting as processors may analyze sanitized reports for diagnosis and fix suggestions and may not use them to train or improve their models. Rich reporting will not be enabled until those facts are reviewed and disclosed here. Other Services may be processed in countries other than your own as described for the relevant service and recipient.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

If rich desktop diagnostics are enabled, raw reports will be deleted after no more than 90 days and non-identifying fingerprints and occurrence counts after no more than two years. Turning diagnostic sharing off starts automatic, durable deletion retries for still-identifiable reports whose opaque deletion tokens remain on the device.

If optional desktop usage analytics is enabled, pseudonymous activity events will be deleted after no more than 90 days and non-identifying aggregates after no more than two years. Withdrawal durably requests deletion of still-identifiable activity for the current analytics identifier.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us here Contact

9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

Withdrawing your consent: Where we rely on consent, we ask for an affirmative choice appropriate to the purpose, and you may withdraw it at any time. Optional desktop diagnostic sharing, if enabled, requires its own fresh versioned choice and can be turned off in QuickInstaller Settings. It is not inferred from accepting legal terms or continuing to use the Services. You may also contact us through the details in "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can: Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.

11. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?

In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

12. HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?

If you have questions or comments about this notice, use our CONTACT FORM. The controller's legally required business contact details are available on the CONTACT PAGE.

13. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please fill out and submit a data subject access request.
